Tikkun HaKlali means the general remedy. Rabbi Nachman of Breslov taught that these ten psalms contain all ten forms of song through which the Book of Psalms was composed, giving them a power no single psalm has on its own.
The Book of Psalms was said through ten forms of song. Rabbi Nachman identified ten psalms that together contain all ten, forming one complete order — the Tikkun HaKlali.
Hence the name: not a remedy for one specific matter, but a general one that reaches the root.
Some say Tikkun HaKlali daily, others on the eve of the new month, on erev Rosh Hashanah, during the days of Selichot, or in times of need.
Erev Rosh Hashanah is considered the most fitting time of all — right before the Day of Judgment.
Communal prayer carries more weight than individual prayer. The Global Tikkun HaKlali exists for exactly that: uniting Jews worldwide in one recitation, at one hour, on one live stream.
Everyone joins from wherever they are — at home, at work, on the road — and becomes part of one voice.
